Toronto Gas Prices Not Immune

Toronto is not immune from events far beyond Canada's borders. Gas prices at the pump can move quickly in response to wars, geopolitical tensions and disruptions to global energy markets as seen afer Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and again during the U.S.-Iran conflict in 2026. For Toronto drivers, a conflict thousands of kilometres away can show up almost immediately in the cost of the daily commute.
