Job postings: Allied Health Apply for position Pharmacist 1 – Pharmacy Odette Cancer Centre – Regular Full Time (223078) Toronto, ON, CA Posted: 9/1/2022 11:33:20 AM We currently have a Regular Full-Time opportunity for a Pharmacist in the Pharmacy – Odette Cancer Centre at our Bayview Campus . Hours of Work: Weekdays: Monday – Fridays; Days; 8hrs; As per schedule Weekend: As per schedule Summary of Duties We currently have a full time position in the Odette Cancer Center Pharmacy with patient care responsibilities to the Oncology program. The Pharmacist duties can be broadly divided into three areas: Drug distribution Direct patient care Educational responsibilities Responsibilities include physician order review, clarification, modification and verification in the oncology CPOE system, OPIS; drug dispensing and/or supervision of such tasks by pharmacy technicians; answering of drug related questions; provision of pharmaceutical care; medication reconciliation; patient counseling. Clinical pharmacy activities may include patient follow-up for adherence and monitoring for adverse reactions in patients receiving oral anticancer agents or injectable chemotherapy. Supervision and mentoring of pharmacy students in the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients attending the chemotherapy clinic or receiving oral systemic therapy is also a job component. Qualifications/Skills Current licensure by the Ontario College of Pharmacists Experience in Odette Cancer Centre pharmacy is an asset Able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment Detail-oriented Possess analytical and problem-solving skills Self-motivated and able to take initiative Reliable Customer service skills and empathetic manner Knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy computer system and retail pharmacy practice an asset Excellent verbal and written English skills Qualified candidates are invited to submit their cover letter and resume (in one document) quoting 223078 to: Human Resources Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre To apply, please click ''Apply for Position'' at the bottom of this page.
