Location: This position is fully remote in USA & Canada Position Overview Intelex is looking for a technology leader to join our Cloud Operations team as a Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Architect. The successful candidate for this position will serve as a senior member of the Intelex Cloud Ops team, reporting into the Sr. Director, Cloud Operations and will be responsible for leading projects to ensure cloud service delivery for our existing customers and providing leadership in dreaming up and developing our cloud platform infrastructure architecture of the future. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering highly available, scalable solutions on a range of cloud platform technologies that include Azure, AWS, Rackspace, and Snowflake. Responsibilities (What you will do) Leads our most sophisticated cloud infrastructure projects that will include both updates to existing deployments as well as new platform infrastructure deployments Leads deep technical architecture and design discussions with senior technical leaders and management Creates conceptual, logical, and physical designs for cloud-based solutions Builds and deploys multi-tier, scalable, and highly available applications using PaaS solutions, IaaS solutions, Microsoft IIS, and Microsoft Database technologies Implements security measures on cloud at different levels (perimeter security, operational security, privacy practices, audits & logging) Build tools and automation to configure/deploy/maintain various components and services of the cloud platform Collaborate with R&D, DevOps, Business leaders, and IT leaders to build and maintain excellent relations with key team members Focus on continuous improvement with respect to service delivery and operational efficiency Think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges Organizational Alignment Reporting into the Sr. Director, Cloud Operations Works closely with other parts of product team: R&D, DevOps, and Product Management Builds and manages relationships with multi-functional teams within the broader organization (e.g., Support, Customer Success, IT, etc.) Experience & Technical Competencies (What you bring) Proven experience in architecting, planning, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft infrastructure technologies (Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL server, etc.) Demonstrable ability working directly with Azure infrastructure: Compute, Networking, Storage Experience and solid understanding of Azure Platform as a Service products, such as App Services, Notification Hub, Event Hub, Functions, Cosmos, Table Storage Extensive experience with IT infrastructure technologies and standards including system configuration policies, security, hardening, HA, DR, etc. Strong practical Windows and Linux -based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment Experience managing data centre / cloud operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications Demonstrated experience building out SaaS solutions with Microservices Architecture Demonstrated experience in automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform or an equivalent platform Demonstrated experience in infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell) Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or equivalent Experience working with Azure, Snowflake, Rackspace, and Akamai Experience working with AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, etc.) and/or non-Microsoft (Linux, Oracle, etc.) is preferred Cloud Certifications are a definite plus – Microsoft, AWS, Snowflake, etc. Skills & Work Traits Team builder – mentor and coach more junior members of the Cloud Operations team to support continued rapid growth of the business Great teammate — develop strong collaboration with peers across the organization, including product management, product development, information assurance, customer support, sales, and information assurance Strategist – develop the strategy and plan to achieve required change initiatives Disciplined – work closely with peer functions to ensure predictable and reliable achievement of deployment and service objectives Great work ethic that inspires others in the organization Leader that will embrace Fortive Business System and tools to drive growth Strategic mentality and intuition for business to quickly identify how product team efforts tie to business strategies and priorities Analytical and data oriented – taking data and turning it into insight Process oriented and comfortable with technology tools and systems to drive process efficiencies and improvements Ability to lead change and turn something that is ambiguous into something that is structured (comfort with ambiguity and change in general) Strong critical thinking skills and attention-to-detail with ability to quickly catch pitfalls and potential issues Highly motivated, creative, and self-directed with a commitment to excellence Excellent interpersonal, oral/presentation, and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical language Education Required: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in engineering, computer science, or related practice) Preferred: Technical trainings/certifications Other Requirements Please note that this role requires a satisfactory Criminal Background Check and Public Safety Verification We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
